RESIDENTIAL INTERIOR DESIGN
This heritage listed façade home was transformed into a cohesive fusion between tradition and contemporary. The focus of the materials palette was to maintain and restore the existing interior heritage elements, and add contemporary finishes to the new extension whilst maintaining a cohesive collaboration between the two varying components of the home.
The high ornate ceilings and skirtings, as well as the traditional fireplaces where maintained throughout the home, and in particular within the large ensuite, which included a herringbone floor and ‘restored’ cast iron vintage bath.
Natural stone was applied in the wet areas of the existing dwelling, as well as to the contemporary main living area and kitchen providing the cohesion between the varying spaces.
